of Olpe.  Then on Sunday, a Disc Golf Tournament  was held on the nine-hole course in the park.   Both events were well attended and will continue  to be included in the festival.
Olpe Downhome was restarted in 2003 after  several years of inactivity.  The focus for the  festival is developing a full day of fun for the  community and raising money to update and  improve the park.  The festival has been starting  at 6:00 a.m. with breakfast at the Olpe United  Methodist Church and ending at midnight with a  Street Dance in downtown Olpe.  We have many  other activities during the day including a Fun  Run, Kids’ Fishing Derby, Craft Show, Kids’  Games, Parade, Prize Drawing, and Firemen’s  Barbeque.  We have also included several other  activities such as a Co-ed Softball Tournament,  3-on-3 Basketball, 3-on-3 Soccer, Arm  Wrestling, Kids’ Tractor Pull, Bed Races and  Canoe Rides.   Most activities take place, or start  and end, in the park and the parade at 4:00 takes  everybody downtown for the evening events.   In 2012, the festival was expanded to three  days.  A Pee-Wee Rodeo was held on Friday night  at the Eagle Creek Saddle Club four miles west
